The Advanced Referee Course

The advanced course is usually held in Jan. Check back in Nov or Dec.

To be held on
Saturday and Sunday, 27 and 28 Janurary, 2007.

Instructors will include National Instructors and National referees. These Instructors and Referees have the knowledge and experience to correctly present the course material and to answer your questions.

Do not pass up the valuable learning experience.

The class will be limited to 20 students on a first come first serve basis. Get your application in early to reserve a space in this valuable class.

Fees include all class material, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, coffee in the morning and soft drinks / water through out both days.

The Intermediate Referee Course

The Intermediate course is planned for Dec. Check back next Nov.

To be held on
Saturday and Sunday, 11 and 12 July, 2009.

Additional applications are not being accepted. Another course is planned for early next year.

Student requirements. Students should:

  • Hold a Regional Referee badge.
  • Have officiated at the U8 and U10 level for a complete fall season.

Students that do not meet the above requirements are welcome to take this course, but such students must be aware that:

  • Most regions reimburse students for the fees for this course. You may not be reimbursed for your expenses for this course. Check with your region.
  • Neither a Regional Referee badge nor an Intermediate Referee badge will be achieved.
  • Some of the material may be too advanced for students who have not taken the Regional Referee Course.
  • This course is not a substitute for the Regional Referee course.

The Referee Assessor Course
To be held on
Wednesday, April 25, 6 - 10 PM
Saturday April 28, 8:30 AM - 1 PM

Regions need to have qualified Referee Assessors to ensure the Region's referee advancement requirements are met. Students that complete this course and subsequent requirements are eligible to assess referees for the Advanced badge.

To attend this course, you need the following requirements:

  • Must have at least three (3) years of soccer experience as a referee
  • Have observed or advised referees for improvement or upgrade
  • Have the approval of your Regional Referee Admininstrator
  • Must be an Advanced/Section Referee or higher grade to attend this course.

We will be accepting 30 participants for this course.

Fees: $35

Fees include all class material, lunch on Saturday, soft drinks / water during the course.

The Referee Instructor Course

To be held on
Sunday, 14 Dec. 2008

The class is usually held in Dec. Check back next Nov.

Regions need to have qualified instructors to ensure the Region's referee training needs are met. Students that complete this 8 hour course and subsequent requirements are eligible to lead the Basic Referee Course and the Intermediate Referee Course.
